October must-do's in North Little Rock

Fall is finally here, and we're ready to celebrate! Check out all of the fun things happening in North Little Rock during the month of October.




You're invited to Thanksgiving in North Little Rock
We hope you will join us in North Little Rock for holiday festivities over Thanksgiving weekend! From holiday shopping at McCain Mall to our huge annual Northern Lights Festival, from the annual Christmas Parade down Main Street to WWE at the arena, we've got a packed weekend planned.

This month: Arkansas Times Craft Beer Festival

Arkansas Times Craft Beer Festival will be at a new location this year: Diamond Bear Brewing Company in North Little Rock! Come out Friday, October 25, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for samples from great breweries (including Diamond Bear and Flyway Brewing), food trucks and live music.

This month: Haunted Argenta 

Did you know that Carrie Nation, an American temperance advocate known for taking a hatchet to destroy barrooms, was once in Argenta? Learn more fun facts about the history of the Argenta Arts District on a Haunted Argenta Tour with Paul Prater, happening now through November 1. For the 21+ crowd, you might want to look into his Boos & Brews tour (it's a little more...."lascivious," in Paul's words).

Historic waterfall restored at The Old Mill

Visitors to The Old Mill at T. R. Pugh Memorial Park at 3800 Lakeshore Drive in North Little Rock will now be greeted with the relaxing gurgle of a waterfall - a sound that hasn't been heard in the park since at least the 1940s.

This month: Kaleidoscope LGBTQ Film Festival

Scheduled for October 31 through November 3, the 5th Annual Kaleidoscope LGBTQ+ Film Festival will feature a stellar lineup of award-winning LGBTQ+ feature and short films. Central Arkansas Pride will have more details soon! Follow the Facebook event for updates.



Fall spots in North Little Rock 

You don't have to go far to enjoy the fall views! Emerald Park, Burns Park, The Old Mill, St. Joseph Center of Arkansas and Fort Roots are an easy drive and for the most part very accessible for some of the best views in Central Arkansas. Simmons Bank assumes naming rights to Verizon Arena Oct. 3

On Thursday, October 3, Simmons Bank will assume the naming rights to Verizon Arena, which will become Simmons Bank Arena. New branding will be seen in-venue on apparel, cups, napkins and banners, as well as on the venue's website and social media handles beginning October 3. To celebrate the name change, Simmons Bank will launch a Facebook contest on October 3 to give away two free tickets to the Oct. 25 Eric Church concert, one of the first events at Simmons Bank Arena.
