Summer Paperhand Puppet Pageant

Paperhand Puppet Intervention returns for their 20th annual puppet pageant at the Forest Theatre on the UNC campus. See "We Are Here", weekends beginning Friday, August 2 - Sunday, September 29 with shadow puppetry, stilt walking, music and more.

Meet the Heels

The annual "Meet the Heels" event with the Carolina football program is August 3 from 3-6 pm at the new Football Practice Complex. The event, which includes autographs, kids activities and more, is free of charge to the general public with free parking available.

Slushfest 2019

The 2nd annual Slushfest at Botanist and Barrel on Cedar Grove Blueberry Farm at 105 Persimmon Hill Lane, Cedar Grove is August 4, 2-5 pm with wine, cider and beer slushies and snow cone flavor toppings. Tickets $21 adults and $7 kids.

BikeFest 2019: Rural Heritage Tour

Hundreds of cyclists will be enjoying Orange County's scenic rural vistas during the annual BikeFest on August 10 sponsored by the Carolina Tarwheels. This trek has 3 routes/rides: a 35-mile, a 62-mile, and a 100-mile all leaving from downtown Hillsborough.

Rissa Palmer with XOXOK

Describing her musical style as "Southern Soul," Rissa Palmer comes to the ArtsCenter in Carrboro, August 22 at 8 pm. In 2007, she released her Top 40 debut single, "Country Girl," becoming the first African-American woman to chart a country song since 1987.
