February is Black History Month

To celebrate Black History Month, UA-Pulaski Technical College's The Center for Humanities and Arts (CHARTS) has a strong lineup of performers and exhibits during the month of February. Most events are free and open to the public.


 The Great Inflatable Race comes to North Little Rock March 23

 

The "wackiest, craziest and bounciest obstacle fun run to hit the nation" returns to North Little Rock's Stone Links Golf Course this March. This friendly competition is a great way to get active and get outside with your friends and family.

New dining: Purple Cow

Purple Cow officially opened its first North Little Rock location in January next to McCain Mall at 4201 Warden Road. The local chain has been around Central Arkansas since 1989, serving gourmet burgers and old-fashioned soda fountain treats with a retro flair. The North Little Rock store also boasts a bar area and local beers on tap.

This month: LaxFest in North Little Rock

Little Rock LaxFest is back for its eighth year at Burns Park in North Little Rock! Scheduled for February 15 through February 17, LaxFest has become one of the largest lacrosse events in the region with more than 800 players from Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri and Texas. This year we at the North Little Rock CVB are proud to sponsor LaxFest, come join us as we enjoy two exciting days of lacrosse. The event is free and open to the public.


USS Razorback submarine celebrates 75 years

You are invited to join the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum at 120 Riverfront Park Drive in North Little Rock to a 75th Birthday Celebration for the USS Razorback submarine on Wednesday, April 3, at 12 p.m. Special speakers include Retired Vice Admiral Kenneth Floyd; the grandson of the shipyard manager where USS Razorback was built, and the son of an airman rescued by the submarine during World War II. This event is free and open to the public.
