Giveaway: family four-pack to Harlem Globetrotters

Through December 9, we're giving away a family four-pack to Harlem Globetrotters at Verizon Arena on Saturday, January 19. Enter to win on our Facebook page in less than ten seconds. The Harlem Globetrotters have been a worldwide icon for nine decades, combining athleticism and entertainment. Tickets are available online or by calling 800-745-3000.

Local stocking stuffers

There's nothing wrong with Bath and Body Works and sweet treats (McCain Mall can hook you up!), but if you're wanting to think outside the box for your stockings this year, consider these.

For the adventurer: Kayak tour of the Arkansas River from Rock Town River Outfitters. Just shoot them an email to request a gift certificate.

For the maker: Workshops at Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub. The Hub offers a variety of classes from laser cutting and t-shirt making to leather artisanry and 3D printing. Just ask the front desk and they can print up a gift certificate in no time.

For the animal lover: Baked treats and fleece coats from Bow Wow & Meow Bakery & Boutique. This North Little Rock shop has everything the furry friend in your life could want.

A Christmas Carol at Argenta Community Theater

The holiday classic A Christmas Carol returns to Argenta Community Theater December 7 through December 15. It is an original adaptation of the Charles Dickens beloved classic written by Arkansas playwright Judy Goss. Tickets are $30 and available online. Buy Tickets

This weekend: North Little Rock Christmas Parade

The annual North Little Rock Christmas Parade, organized by the North Little Rock Sertoma Club, is rolling down Main Street on Sunday, December 2, at 2 p.m. The parade is free to the public and will go down Main Street from Pershing to the North Little Rock City Services building. Come early and stop by the North Little Rock Heritage Center for their Holiday Open House, with a train exhibit and kids' activities. Weather is showing 67 and cloudy, so come out and spend the afternoon downtown!
