About Me:
Leslie Hsu Oh is a writer of fiction and nonfiction, whose work has been named among the distinguished stories of the year by Best American Essays. She is a Champion of Change for the White House: AAPI Storytelling and Art program, a Schweitzer Fellow, and the Outdoor Editor for Panorama: The Journal of Intelligent Travel. Her fiction and nonfiction work has appeared or is forthcoming in Alpinist, Backpacker Magazine, Alaska Magazine, Conde Nast Traveler, Fourth Genre, Outside Magazine, Real Simple, Smithsonian Magazine, Sierra Magazine, Travel+Leisure among others. Leslie has a Masters degree from Harvard, a MFA from the University of Alaska, and has taught creative writing for over a decade. She is currently working on a memoir called Fireweed. A chapter adapted from this memoir is recently published in Waymaking: An anthology of womens adventure writing, poetry and art.
