About Me:
Jayme Moye writes about travel, mountain sports and culture, and pushing the limits of human potentialpreferably all in one story. Her award-winning freelance work appears in Outside, Travel + Leisure, and National Geographic, among others. She is the former managing editor of Elevation Outdoors, and a former adventure news correspondent for Men's Journal. Her personal essays have been anthologized in multiple books, including The Best Women's Travel Writing series and Vignettes and Postcards from Paris. She is co-author of On the Nose: A Lifelong Obsession with Yosemite's Most Iconic Climb, a 2017 Best Book Award Finalist.

Jayme is the first woman to have been awarded the North American Travel Journalists Association's Grand Prize in Travel Journalism more than once: in 2014, for reporting on Afghanistan's first female road-bike racing team, and in 2018, for breaking the story on sexual harassment in the river-raft guiding industry in the U.S. In 2019, she became the first woman to win the Keith Bellows Award for Excellence in Travel Journalism, honoring the work of the longtime Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Traveler as an advocate for the importance of travel and its power to transform and teach about the world, cultures, people, and economies.

She lives in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia in Canada.
